Philippe croizon

Philippe croizon is a french athlete ans the first quadruple amputated.
 The cause of his amputations is an electric shockaccident which occurred in March 1994. He was employed as a steelworker at Fonderie du Poitou. He was only 26years old when this accident arrived. He is married ans at this time they have one son and his wife was expecting a second child. This accident arrived at his home in Saint-remy-sur-creuse, vienne, when he work on a television antenna, he received a severe electric shock from a high-voltage power line. He was hospitalized in Tours. Where doctors removed his left arm above the elbow, his right arm below the elbow, then his right leg above the knee, doctors thinks that croizon can conserve his left leg, but later he had his left leg amputated.
During his recuperation in the hospital, he is inspired by a female channel-swimmer. he began a training, he swim 35hours a week for 2 years. He received letters of support like a french president Nicolas Sarkozy.
On Saturday, 18 September 2010, at the age of 42, he swam across the English-Channel in less than 14 hours, a distance of 21 miles (34 km).
